As he wants to ride it regularly, I advised him to fit the Mikuni HSR42 carb and Dyna 2000 ignition system, along with an adjustable pressure switch in the plenum to automatically retard the ignition under boost.
I set the timing, set the retard boost switch to 5 psi and set the carb up.
After a bit of spinning the motor over (which has been rebuilt) it fired up no problem.
The Rajay turbo was overhauled by my mate Dave Dunlop (the Rajay turbo god!) and it sounds real sweet.
The fuel height will need setting (hence the small bit of fuel overflowed on the floor) and the oil pressure switch was duff (I'm sending him one over FOC).
It's nice to see a TC in it's original condition, something which my friend intends on how to keep it, not restored!

Whilst I was there, he showed me a few more of his collection....
Harris F1 with 998cc genuine XR69 GS engine (sub 1000cc works engines only had 4 plug head)

A beautiful UK spec RC30 (lower fairings away being painted)

And his pride and joy, a Kawa Z1000R1, modified to his own personal taste and exquisitely done too
I did have to "rib him" over the pink HT leads though, but I thinks that must be his feminine side coming out !
