I was chatting with some mates about looking out for another Kettle, and one of the guys chips in, "I know someone who wants to move one on" - so I contacted the owner (who lived only 5 miles from me) and he tells me "she's in nice condition, Ive owned it for 8 yrs. but never really use her". So I went to view and (not really expecting too much) found this very shiny thing hiding under a cover: a totally honest example which is now tucked away in my garage

Warren re riding: to be honest they don't set the world on fire re performance, but reality is you don't buy old bikes for their performance. On the road the engine is lovely and tractable, with loads of torque, and generally fun to blat around on. Nice to have zero engine braking and a unique soundtrack. Something about a 2 stroke triple that sounds just right.
With modern rubber fitted, they handle about as well as a Zed

That does look rather pretty. Nothing sounds (or smells) like a big oil burning triple, and a Kettle is one of the boxes I've yet to tick on my 70's icon list
Watch those crank seals if it's been stood for that length of time.
