Latest Vmax resto: Images likely to be upsetting

Just finished a resto of a 1993 Vmax I got from the US: she's a genuine one owner 4000 mile bike (original, keys, handbook , untouched tool kit etc etc).
When I got her she had not been run for many years and was a big cosmetic challenge, the PO said she was sat in a garage for over a decade; but it had been started "regularly"- to be fair, she did start on the button, just looked neglected.









Was a winter project bike, so wont be keeping her - to most people she's a bit visually challenging, but I'm pleased with how she came out !

Used to commute on one of these 70 mile a day. Very stable and extremely quick up to 90mph. But after that the slightest side wind when going around a bend can start a nasty weave. You can swap front end for a R1, which helps. Also I had to fit a gel pad to the seat to firm it up.

Jim, the PO in question was the previous owner: who reckons (apart from being struck up every few weeks/months) it stood unused from 2000 to 2014, when I took pitty on her.

tlc prices for Vmax's seem to typically start around £3k for a reasonable example and between £4k to £6k for exceptional examples. And of course you always get the odd chancer asking bonkers money for a minter (as with any bike really).

Joking aside - it will have a selling price of £4500 (have a look on eBay at other similar bike prices )
Still awaiting UK Reg no from DVLA, but think I might have a buyer already.

I find mine not the worst thing I've ridden and not the fastest either good fun though bought mine last year with genuine 5500 mile on it now up to 7500 handles like a Harley power like 1200 bandit think that might sum it up 😀 oh starts to wobble at 130mph 😀

After an unexpected 10 week delay I finally got my Vmax resto finished and in my garage: just in time for Winter:

I took her for a blast around the local villages today: jeez was it seriously cold

She's a nice bike to ride, genuine 4500 mile one owner, but lack of space means she'll (probably) be banished to evilBay some time in the near future.

Great resto job, it looks immaculate. Always liked that shape vmax over the latest ones.
