out for a spin on xs Sunday

Took the old xs out for a 65 mile spin yesterday, new stainless exhaust, a bit less noise pipes are going to brown up nice, also done a plug chop and it's running great, will strip and give it a little love over winter.

They are quite nippy Mick and you can open them up a long way between gear changes, but I may either put a larger front or smaller back sprocket on in the winter, but saying that it's not the type of bike to ride all day, puts a nice grin on my face just like the old thou, who knows I may invest in another thou because I miss the old nail.

My willy is throbbing and is leaking pre cum now!!
I just luv 'em XS650's.
What I find with them Mick,
They are pretty highly geared in standard trim.
They like throbbing along with low revs and early gear changes.
The motor sounds good driven like that.
The riding position likes it too.
I just "throb" around on mine at 50 mph max.

I've never quite got to that stage over a bike yet Jim, but one never knows what could happen in the future.

i am currently wondering whether i am wanting to do some
cross country riding again, wondering whether my 500 single
is good for the several hundred mile trips, have been looking
at the cheaper end z1000's but have concerns over repair costs
etc, but the xs650 has always been a hope to own bike for me.

Nice bike kev is that a delkevic exhaust ?
just bought one of there 4 into 1s for my ltd 1000
great pipe clears all drain plugs and oil filter housing

Hi Mikey, it's a Delkevic and at £250. a good price, you can either run it open or two stages of baffling, I have all the baffles in and it's still quite loud, best thing it does not need re-tuning, took it for a 60 mile run at weekend and it performed great,did a plug chop and a good result there as well.

Yes mine has all that and at £260 delivered absolute bargain and as you say
even with the baffles in its loud enough fantastic value.
