75mph sounds do-able!
But alas I think it may be a little overkill. ..Shame

Hi dave. Good luck with the project, I did a full resto on a gpz550 d1 a couple of years ago and it went very well. I found everything I needed and it was all quite cheap to do, condition was about what yours is and it was done in a couple of months. They are great fun to ride so get cacking! Got a few spares left over so dont be afraid to ask mate. Good luck.

Bought it as seized engine and carbs, turned the engine with spanner backwards, turned easily, beltched out sand from carbs, a touch of penertrating oil on the carbs and whey hey slide a treat, clutch seized up but when I took the sprocket cover off it was jammed full of sand, and again the clutch worked, took off the rocker, cams nice and tidy clean, going well untill I noticed a slight miss alignment with the frame at the back end, bugger but I have an iron in the fire for a replacement, sourced a nos front fender and chain guard from Italy, good price to Jimmock! will post as I go, cheers for the comments guys, may need help
