Although I am a long time Z owner and have been a club member for a few years, as a new boy to the forum I have been reading through the]posts and have decided I had better confess to also being a H**** owner and whats more, I'm proud of it. In my defence, It does run on Kawasaki forks and wheels and I do try to thrash it too within an inch of it's life in our classic sprints and hill climb's. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.....[/img]

I recently ran Greve de Lecq hill climb in 42.00, Nick ran the Moriwaki in 39.90..... shit happens. in the sprint I ran 12.4 @ around 110 but only had 3 runs, leaving room for improvement.

Thanks for the comments, who's quickest me or Nick? I would love claim it's because his bike is a lighter, more powerful ground up race bike and mine is my road bike without the lights, but shit No! Nick has been there, done it and won the teeshirt and sadly the cream always seems to rise to the top. He's a great bloke too, don't you just hate some people. I do love his bike though, featured in the spring 2010 Z mag. The bloke on the TL would be Paul Traylon, 50% brilliant 50% Nut's......... He holds the jersey sprint record on a busa (which is run through a set of BENDS) 9.98 at 140 somthing- make that 51% nuts........ And as for my times, Launch a little harder, Yup and maybe lunch a little lighter.

Thanks for the reply.
I have never done a track day, in fact I only did my first hill climb in 2011 for my 50th, but I'd love to do one and Nick has suggested doing the practical sports bike mag event at Cadwel but it always a question of time off and money. It cost's a bloody fortune to get off the island and I've already sighned up for a trip to France on the CBX, I always do Stafford and if I can finish the J, I'd love to do the south west rally in July, add that to our two race weekends and I think the wife might start removing parts of my anatomy which would make riding uncomfortable if I suggested a track day weekend. (It might still be worth it!). Watch this space.....
I did stick a clip of the CBX on youtube. Search - CBX 1000 jersey hillclimb.
Phil.
