Got my new toy today!!

#1 PostAuthor: jimmock » Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:22 pm

Guyz,

As mentioned a few weeks ago, I got my H***** RRW today AT LAST!!!

The deal has been on since August but I was home and the guy was away or I was away and he was home.

We were both home so it happened today.

S reg, 1999, (two weeks away from being a T reg) two mature owners from new. 8600 miles from new.
Black and silver. Datatagged and a fancy immobiliser / alarm too.

Took the tank bag cover off tonight. The paintwork is UNMARKED.

I'll get it out tomorrow and get some pics in the dry hopefully!!!

TO BE REALLY HONEST I'M ACTUALLY A WEE BIT FRIGHTENED TO GO OUT ON IT.
Any advice / pointers???

If I like it, the danger is I might sell ALL the Zeds and keep the 'Blade and my good XS650.

Thus NO MORE SHAFFTINGS!!! Remember the poem.
Jimmock. :wnkr

to be honest i think you'll find it pretty non threatening and easy to ride.

I take liberties with my Tuono I wouldn't dream of taking on my Zs.

Brakes, Tyres, Handling all sooo much better.

I know what you mean about the weight. My 900 Hornet feels light as anything compared to the old Zeds.

Hornets are a great bike.Donkeys years ago i had a 916 when they were the thing. It was in for one of its many warranty visits. The dealer lent me the then new 600 hornet.I remember thinking at the time that it was all the bike you really needed.

Jim - you'l love it !
Light, totally predictable and as Chrisu said, quick enough without being bonkers.
I sold mine a while back, I know H****'s come in for some stick on here :P , but I had mine for nearly 3 years and she never missed a beat; not many bikes I can say that about.
