Seemed like a good idea at the time
Stands for " IRon HOrse BOrn TO LOse " which is a Motorhead song about motorcycles and the lifestyle of people who ride them.
Many years ago I aspired to the hardline biker lifestyle then I met the missus and she told me to get my hair cut and grow up.

Mine is made up of two words, the first one, Nigel is a Latin word meaning "dark" and the second one is an ancient coin.
My real name, Brenda Pile, is not fitting for a motorcycle forum.

I've always had mobile phones for work since about 1985 I think. I had the first WAP enabled phone and used this for contacting customers. Since no one knew my second name it was easier to just call myself tailiftchris. So
tailiftchris@btcellnet.co.uk became my email before i even had a PC. Easy, or so I thought. Using the Nokia 7110 with the scroll thumb wheel was such a pain. My how things have changed.
Like others I use the same name for lots of things but here, after a while anyway, others were shortening mine to tlc.
And here we are.
