Hi All,
I have just taken this Royal Enfield, Indian made one, in pt ex againt my Armstrong, and it is for sale if anyone wants it, its a 2000 model 500 bullet,
the biks was imported by a collector and never registered for the road, although the bike has been riden by the guy I got it from, when he rode it home, 150 miles, the bike is in excellent condition, although does have some marks couple little dings on the tank, from storage, but overal, a very nice bike, and here it is............

Just caught up with this thread. I had a tour of the Enfield factory in January when I was in India, it was like stepping back in time!!! Good to see the bikes being built though and we got to see the new cafe racer. It looks the ti*s.. :D
The pinstripes on the tank are hand painted by two brothers who do every tank that comes off the production line. What a skill to observe- brilliant. When they are on holiday it causes chaos!

Neighbours got a 2004 500 Bullet - spent last weekend trying to find an electrical gremlin.....

......after he bought a new Boyer powerBox & ignition for around £200....

..... turned out the main power goes into the ignition switch direct to the ammeter and on to power the bike. Problem was the connector blocks are a waste of space - they were all loose so power ended there
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Hitchcock's is a mighty good place to start your journey into the dark pits of the beast. The electrical bits are a bit scruffy, but except from that the Enfields are really good bikes.

Cheers,
Greg
