Gents,

As you might know I am in the process of restoring a GPz900R A1, just finished the engine and fitted it in the fame, thought I might as well post a couple of pictures as we all like pictures.

First out with the strippers.

Then soda blasted and vapour blasted.

Then painted

Then parts ordered.

Image

Then assembled.

Image

Then placed into position.

Fitting begins.

Image

Nearly there.

All done.

Just got to wait for the waterpump repair kit and she then can be started up :D

Tut tut. Long silencers and pattern rear disc. Deary me. :D :D JUST KIDDING! Superb. Having done one myself, I know what's gone into that. I'm in the midst of pulling the original engine apart to put in ZZR starter gear, new rings and ZZR OPR valve. I hope it ends up looking as nice as yours.

As you well know Mr Nosher they are the correct short silencers which took 12 months tracking down, found a decent system in Japan, then got them all re-chromed. As for the disc's there OM as well, just new. The only problem I have had being down here is not being able to plate some of the nuts and bolts the original olive green!
As for the strater clutch, just get a rebuilt kit from the GPz Zone and have the "shell" crack tested, it was a handful that failed due to cracking so if it passes the NDT test all good, only cost me around a tenner to get tested, just a thought.
