I've joined a Capri club to get some inspiration to get my 280 back on the road.
Was at my first meeting with them last night.
I really enjoyed it.
One guy had his 280 with him. Gave me an 'ardon!!!

Hey Jimmock is this a club about travellers as "Capri" and "ardon" are both in Europe.
Wasn't sure about 280 but googled it and it is a bus route so this must be for traveller's

I was a member of the Capri club between 1986 - 93, they had some really good shows and days out, happy days

				Well guyz,
I must say that joining the Capri club I'm now in has certainly gave me the kick up the arse I was needing!!!!!
I am absolutely gagging to get home and get the Big Capri all sorted out for the road again.
I'll get some pics posted soon.

Thought the Capri lovers here might be in interested in these pics of my old Capri special I built in the late eighties
Started life as a 2.0 Ghia with vinyl roof.
All chrome trim removed, including bumpers, filled and smoothed – instructions to the paint guy “spray her the brightest red you can findâ€.
Front - Bilstien structs with lowered race springs, tougher anti-roll bar and bushes
Rear – one-off bespoke 2 leaf springs with Spax adjustable
Engine – standard(ish) pinto, rebuilt + bigger Webber carb, Janspeed exhaust
Wheels – wide AllyCat, with very low profile Pirelli rubber
Nothing at the time could keep up with this on the twisty country lanes of Gloucestershire

Comming back on the train on Mon there were a bunch of classic cars including a 3.1 RS Capri. Loads of other good motors, AC Ace coupe, several e types & a very smoky Elan.

What train were you on that fitted all those cars on board

Maybe it was a channel tunnel train off route

This is my mate's Capri, they have an annual rally up your way at Alford, near Aberdeen with the Scottish Capri Club, in August I think.

There was a good doc on the BBC the other night. angle boxes, tinas, escorts, crappies - all the dagenham dustbins basically were in it.
I used to have quite a few of them. I like to think I still do, although Ghent dustbin is not the same.
