Been tidying this up as & when for nearly a year now.

Fitted a full Akrapovic 4-2-1 system that came via ebay just after Christmas, only downside (for me) was that it came with a fully baffled street legal can. :sad
Well a couple of days ago, I won this little beauty at a good price (The listing ended at 10.15 on Monday morning & Akrapovic was mis-spelt).

So this afternoon it was out with the spanners............

......................... It sounds fookin' MINT! :lon :lon

Nice 7 you have there, I've just picked up a very low mileage one myself. I thought the Akra road can had a removable baffle or is it still quieter than the race can with it removed. Did you have to tinker with the carbs when you put the full system on?

The road legal Akra can I had did not have removable baffles, they were a permanent fixture.

The bike came to me with standard headers & a straight through race can & ran well like that, since fitting this system I have not tweaked anything, but I've only ridden it to & from the MOT station.

Did you get your full system from Performance Parts Ltd - they seem to be the only people that still have old stock Akra's for the 7.

Onall4, Full system came used from ebay, cost around £325 from memory. It did come with a road can, which I sold for about the same money that the race can cost.

GreenZ ZX7R's go for very little money. I paid £650 for this one early last year, but I have spent at least that on it. Fork re-furb, tyres, brakes, chain & sprockets. Then add in the exhaust & it all tops £1600..... take away the £200 that I sold the original exhaust & race can & it probably owes me about £1400

Parts on ebay are plentiful & relatively cheap (compared to Zed parts), which makes a refreshing change.

I would advise paying a little more than I did, for something that doesn't need as much work. £1200 - £1500 should buy you something really nice......

................ happy hunting!
