ive found a guy that does a stainless "free flow" centre exhaust section and tsil pipe for these bikes and wonder if anybody knows what exactly that means to the bike, any clues guys? the other alternative is to have a custom one made, definitely need a new exhaust, this one has sprung a leak so i bandaged it up for the mot.

yes thanks Ade, i have bought a good bit of stuff from force, i have seen this pipe also, but i know of someone that makes a stainless system with more flow but couldnt really understand what flow meant. i always thought that a bit of pressure helped with kick but not so then? i seem to recall guys back in the day taking their baffles out to create noise but it actually took performance away?? was i wrong?

Back pressure is more critical for a 2-stroke, but even then it has to be tuned so the "resonance" is in time with the engine stroke.

4-strokes will benefit from this action, but it's not so crutial as for a 2-stroke.

I'd not worry about it too much Mick
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

well i actually did something to it today, i put the battery back in  the romantic notion of the clear view under the seat has gone in favoiur of having some lights and things  ive also found not having the front mudguard on may look nice and minimalist but on muddy uk roads its sh;t. So im making it more of a scrambler thing
