My V reg Custom was black.

I fitted the engine and box as a complete unit from underneath using a commercial vehicle transmission jack to lift it accurately.

Kas,

On the subject of lifting engine and box in one lump.

When I done a clutch on my MK2 RS2000 years ago, I can remember taking the x-member bolts out and putting 4 inch bolts in one at atime and then dropping the entire gearbox / engine down four inches.

This was needed due to cleartance problems between bellhousing and tunnel.

Very nice, is the sticker on cocked or is it just the way they came out of the factory, were these made in Liverpool :?:

You would think so with it being on bricks :lol: but no all the mk2 rs models other than a few very early 18's were built in germany.

and the sticker :P Here it is just after christmas.
