You dont do the washed and worn look then?
Is it to be a full nut and bolt resto like youre bikes?
Think it would good with a wooden bonnet and wooden front wings :D
Keep it going and lets have all the gory details. It looks to be really sound in the pictures. They always seemed to be gone around the inner flitch panels near the shock top mounts amongst other places.

and another place is the rear chasis rails
I have seen one or two go there and usually its means a reshell
way too many Zeds

I stripped the engine.

I cleaned and measured everything.New rings,main bearings,big end bearings and oil pump....The engine is nearly done now.

Yes i believe it is quite a straightforward conversion Paul.To be honest i want to keep it as standard as possible.In the future i would be interested in a modified mk2,but it would have to be full on with arches and a blasty motor.

Had a 5 speed in my MKII Estate with RS2000 engine etc, made for a much more relaxed drive.
86 Z1100R x 2, z7/11r, ZRX400, Z1000B2, ,ZRX1100C4 & Z1000J3.

A buddy of mine years ago had a highly tuned MK2 RS2000 with a 5 speeder out a 2.8i Capri due to the torque his car had.

He had the input shaft machined to suit the 2 litre pinto.
