PS, im even toying with a z1 paint job

Admiration for you Mick. Never thought I'd see an MT being transformed, from a utilitarian, go-anywhere, gung-ho type, into what you have in mind. Will be quite unique if yours is a 'first' Custom MT.
Will you share your opinions with the MT club: http://www.mtridersclub.co.uk/
or will they slate you for such grandiose ideas I wonder, just like the 'ribbing' some Zed owners get for there 'mods'?
Genuine good luck though. A home bred creation, normally, speaks volumes of that person.....

im no longer a member of the mtridersclub Aztec, not my scene. I did see one members bike done in an early trails style, it looked really good and i think that may have helped me to see the engine in a more usable light.

nw66, come on in mate, your always welcome, evry thread needs a mr negative pants to keep thing real :up :bla

if this home bred creation is going to speak volumes about me then god help it :lookit

Indeed Mick. You only have to look at my Predator ST, except, 'don't blame me' I tell peeps'....! :!:
Also, will be another 'first', your creation not being Olive Drab/Camo/Black if that's your plan too. :D

do you think its possible to go crazy winding through google images of flat trackers :tick ive pretty much got the idea of what i want to do, im now sourcing a few bits and bobs and looking for some free time to do some stuff, i dont think removing a mudguard and some indicators warrants a piccie

one question from the custom build novice, where would i go to get a one off exhaust made, they certainly dont do any kit stuff for these ex military mt's.

nice one Aztec, i hadnt seen that, these engines can look ok in a tracker type set up, i wasnt sure they could because the are very boxy. ive pretty much decided what im doing with the rear, the seat and the front light set up, i just need a few days off to get going on it now. Its a bike i ride so i have to have the necessary bits for each job before i tackle it. i do like the bike in the link except im putting a straight flat seat on it. The exhaust is a question mark for me, i guess it has to be custom made somewhere. i just need to get the other bits done before i decide where its to go.

Just a thought for you, 5m 30s of your time looking at this Mick. Pure nostalgia, 1975, and the best engine for a 'tracker' ever made.....so good, the AMA banned it. (An LC to replace your MT maybe...!).

its not about the mph for me anymore Aztec, its just about riding, i do love a 2 stroke, but im sticking with what ive got, its a good robust, easily maintained single cylinder engine, cam belt costs £17,50 and takes 10 mins to replace
