My RE Bullet firing nicely again.

Back on the road at last, been nearly ten months! M.o.t tested on Thursday, no problems. Some further tweaks today have ironed out the charging problems I hope. Runs and goes' rather well. Makes an incredible racket (thump), like my 500 never seemed to do, no doubt due to the original, unrestricted Indian exhaust fitted.
Uphill runs will be a little challenging, downhill a little daunting with the inferior SLS front stopper and any emergency braking will be best avoided....?
Will be suited to all roads up to 50mph, motorways will have to be kept to a bare minimum really, as keeping ahead of the truckers at 56, will be pushing the smaller lump.
Other than those slight limitations, it's a hundred smiles per hour.....Great fun.
Been waiting nearly 10 months for this unique exhaust note to start ringing in my ears again. Lets hope I can put some decent miles on this replacement 'power pack' before the next Big Bang.....
Looking good. Mix/match of 500/350/2000/1990 models.

I hope the 350 does not do what the 500 did.....

This latest rebuild was started on Easter Monday and finally came good this week. The delay was down to having to 'adapt' the wiring loom from the later ac/dc system to dc only. A real pain, for even the keenest of amateurs.....
It was all meant to be a 'dry run', hence, the mish mash of 350/500 body parts and colours. Another stripdown and repaint in the winter will probably be done though. Takes only two hours to tear this bike down, put into boxes and stash away, and not much longer to rebuild it. But electrickery............ :jake

Certainly does Mick!
I had such a wide smile on my face yesterday, and I could not ignore the amount of people that crane there necks for a gander, probably thinking; 'wtf is that coming down the road'.....!
(The ST was too 'spur of the moment', and came only two weeks after the Bullet 'failed'....it's been good, but I must let it go).
This will do me. The single life is much less complicated compared to multiples of 4?....... :)
