factory response

#1 PostAuthor: RAYZ1 » Tue Feb 10, 2015 10:54 pm

After filling in a response form on the MV official site complianing about disintegrating fuel line cpc plastic fittings , I didnt expect a reply

a week later I received a polite reply

"please contact your local dealer for servicing these items"

i couldnt help but putting a tounge & cheek reply back about the nearest MV dealer is a 1000km round trip now that they have no dealers in Scotland

15 mins later my mobile rings , prefix was +39 , which I recognise as italy...

answered the phone

" good day this is the MV Agusta factory...."in pigeon English
very nice man who apologised priofusely for not having a dealer in Scotalnd and they were working on it. He then asked me if I could ask my local dealers if they were interested..of course I said, knowing the reply I will get locally

Anyway , after putting the phone down , I was quite bemused ,. I fixed the bike and I cleaned out the fuel injectors myself, but the oil filter looks a bitch to change

Had an F4
lovely to look at but the most uncomfortable bike I have ever had and slow as fuck, no quicker than a 600.
it had already blown up and had a new engine under warranty (that took forever) before i had it.
Bought it, did the TT and a trip around Europe and the Nuremberg ring and sold it when i got back
put 3000 miles on it and made £100 more than what i paid.
LOVELY to look at but never again!
Oh why Oh why did I ever sell my RC30

I bought an F4750 evo3 in 2003, it damn uncomfortable but pretty, I bought a 750 brutale about 5 years ago. To be honest as much as I like looking at these I'd rather ride the z1 or the turbo. Just spent ages sorting out the tank and fuel line connectors then the blocked fuel injectors on thr brutale, the f4 is running flat so I'm away to strip the injectors out , ultranonic clean them then refit with new spark plugs, actually it's no more work than taking off you z1 carbs and doing the mains an pilot,

Malcolm is right the f4 is painful, makes a 916 feel like a cruiser. If I was 20 and a few inches shorter and several pounds x2 less then the f4 would be fine , but I'm not , plus 30 years, sair back an a that, brutale is ok for a pose and a buzz around the royal dee side

Saying all that, the sound of the F4 is unequaled when riding through fast B roads between walls, the 4 pipes are pure music and you go up and down the gears just to enjoy the sound reverb :)

+1 on this, couldn't do more the 30 miles on mine before it started cutting off the blood supply to my legs! Absolutely beautiful to look at but the most uncomfortable thing I have ever ridden.
Now have a 916 and it's wonderful
