Is that an import ?
Looks good anyway
Hi mate, there were a few genuine TR8's sold in the UK, about 30 I think but they were all convertables, the majority of the TR8's were for the US market.
Initially BL built about 150 fixed head TR8's but decided to scrap that model and only build convertables, all the cars went to the US and are highly sought after.
My car has been built from a brand new old stock shell that was bought by a dealer in 83 from BL and dry stored until I got it in 2009 and started the build. I bought a donor rusty TR7V8 and followed DVLA guidlines to allow retention of the registration.

I worked over the road from Canley in the early eighties. There were a few TR8's running around on test. The Canley boys also made some up for themselves I believe. There was a Dolly sprint engined version as well. Nearly bought a Prussian Blue TR7 convertable a few years ago. wife said I could but the zed would have to go. still got the zed.
