Rode a GS1000 in the 80s and was very impressed with it. The handling in particular seemed to be more taught than the Zeds. However for me Suzukis have never had the style or flair to them that Kawasakis "used to" have :D
Looks a nice example though. What are your plans for it ?

I agree - the GS is a real nice bike, handles well and rides great, but not the same charisma as a Zed :wink:

Wanna keep it standard & ride it :P

Got hold of a replacement 4:1 - the Moturd had a large hole under the lower downpipe & was tooooo quiet :roll:

So its got a noce period Laser which sounds nice and deep-throated :wink:

I also fitted a pair of old Dyna coils & silicon leads this morning and been for a spin - what a difference, she was a bit lumpy & hesitant before, but now its like a new bike (well, newerish) and really tramps on :twisted:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Where do you know Smithy from ?

I remember following his Armageddon-Engine build...

Jimmock, yep, tis a 78, USA import........ The wire wheels was the clincher for me, just had to buy it :P

I've now fitted some dyna coils (had a spare set laying around) and it runs much better - real nice smooth old speedy barge of a bike :wink:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
