I havent checked them, I will look tomorrow. would that cause me the problems do you think?
Are they the bits you get in the carb refurb kits?

I am pretty sure the diagramms are ok, because when i push the sliders up and block the air way they stay up intill the pressure is released, but I will check ompression, when the tester arrives- thanks

Thanks for the advice, it is now sorted pretty much. I stripped the carbs back completely, and for some reason on one of the carbs, the plate that is on top of the needle, there was 2 of them instead of one!! Once it was removed it runs 95% Ok, it could never have been right like this. All I have no...

its on all cylinders, on and off, they are get hot. Its backfires through the exhaust, and its better at low revs, its when you rev it that its really bad?

Z1000 Ltd- Running rough

Hello, I am new to the board. I have just bought a Ltd 1000, and she is running really rough, backfiring, missing- horrible. So I have replaced the plugs, leads, coils, still the same. Took the carbs off, checked the diagrams- Ok, cleaned them out, cleaned the main jets, checked the needles, floats....
