Wheel Interchangability

Just a quick question from the brains trust. I'm looking at putting mag wheels from a Z1R onto the A1. Is the rear sprocket carrier and cush drive interchangeable from the spoked wheels across to the mags, along with the brake discs ? I have got hold of a set of wheels minus sprockets, discs arent a...

Does this mean we are looking forward to a full ride report complete with photos ? Doubt I'll ever get up to your hemisphere so to read and see a neutral outlook on the battlefields with the inclusion of Zeds would be a pearler of a way to spend a balmy summers night reading.

Remote front brakes

I'm going down the path of the Stone type, retro 70's thingy. With that in mind I have the bikini fairing and have a few styles of Ace Bars to play with, what is the best remote front brake system people have tried ?

Question on charging testing

I am working my way through testing electrical components on the MkII. With the straight out battery test with no load (lights off) the test was perfect. 13.4v @ 2500rpm and 13.9v @ 5000rpm. With lights on I get a static 12.7v across the whole rev range, no where in the test schedule does it mention...

Exactly same issue on No.3 cylinder. I took out carbs, stripped and cleaned with a good quality aerosol Carb cleaning product, Swapped the Choke plungers around and reassembled. Bike is running smooth as, no lag in any area and a good burn on the plugs.

Been on the market down under in Perth for a while now. Not sure how keen you are in shipping etc but this does appear a good example. No affiliation whatsoever, just keep an eye on whats going locally. £20,500.00 plus shipping , import etc etc in todays money. (XE Conversion) http://www.bikesales....

Thanks for that Mark, been looking for a good guide like the one you given here. Hopefully tonight I'll pull the plugs and get a better idea and start going through your suggestions. As long as I can minimize pulling the carbs out again, I use too many creative words apparently when trying to get th...

Block of wood with hole drilled out for fitting over sump plug and carjack is how we used to do it. Added security was rope tied to handle bars and looped over shed main beam. Not pretty but it worked.

The saga continues with the carbie / fuel issues with the MkII. I have just finished with a full strip, clean reassembly of the Carb module. As suggested I have swapped the choke plungers around as I believe No3 was bypassing. As Im working 12 hour days I haven't had a chance to pull the plugs but p...

Misread that in a hazy blur, I've pulled the carbs apart and and given them a clean out. Swapped the suspect plunger from No.3 to No. 4 so if it does transfer I should be able to change out the plunger in situ.

Any kits that have these included or is it a seperate item ? Got a good seal place down here that can supply almost anything if given original measurements and usually at 1/8th of the cost !!!

Also is there a link to a thread that deals with complete strip and rebuild of the carbs ??

No.3 plug is fouling on rich fuel mix. Eliminated everything else that I know of and even went to the extent of changing all avail components from No.3 to No.4 ( hoping the issue would transfer and at least not have to remove the bloody things with original airbox all the time !!! ) but the issue st...

Luminous Dark Blue

Asked down here without luck so try up top. I'm chasing an 'Original' painted side cover from the Blue MkII. Was known as Luminous Dark Blue, I don't care what condition the cover is in, simply chasing a few square inches of original paint. I still believe the set I got from Doremei is too light a s...
