Carb tuning

Hello, I just fitted a set of new CR29's to my Z900. They were bought set up for a 900 and after playing with idle jets it is starting well and revving out ok. Only problem is when you give it a quick twist of throttle it wants to take off then it stumbles and has a HUGE hesitation. Twisting the thr...

I had kind of settled on the CR29's before i started this post, but just wanted to check before i made the purchase.

I was also going to purchase a Yoshi MJN kit for them.
Is this a worthwhile upgrade for the CR's??

Thanks for that Jay.

Sounds like you've had experience with both, so could you please tell me one more thing: Do the Keihin's run the same push/pull throttle cable linkage?

Best size Carbs?

Looking at a new set of Keihin CR carbs for my Z900.

Are 29's best suited to standard bore 900 or would you go something slightly larger?

Thanks.

SOLVED!!! Thanks for everyone's help. The fuses were blowing so instantaneously that I thought something had to be earthing incorrectly. Turns out when I replaced the coils I had inadvertently squashed the brown wire that runs to the horn between the coil and frame upon tightening. I haven't even co...

Thanks mate. After some further investigation I figured I didn't have a good earth to the frame. Now when I bridge the two terminals on relay it starts to turn over. However, my new problem is every time I switch the key to the 'ON' position the fuse between the battery and the wiring harness blows ...

OK, I bench tested the starter motor and it appears be working fine. When I tested the relay without the starter motor installed i'm not getting any power on the other side of the relay. I did some further investigation and realised that when I turn the ignition on and earth my circuit tester, I can...

Thanks for the reply.

My voltmeter has gone on the blink so i've been using a basic circuit tester. When I turn the ignition on it shows power coming out the other side of the relay
