I had a Harley once, the bike was ok once you learned how to steer it in corners. I went to one of the local club open days, hardly anyone would speak to new members. Seems to me there's a lot of snobbery in the Harley world, they wouldn't bother with you if your bike was worth less than theirs. The...

You might try here, they usually have a good selection of projects. Triumphs are more expensive than BSA but the BSA A10 650 is a great bike, I have one and wouldn't be without it.

Having just done mine, there are two things you need to know. First is that when the valve is in the guide and seated, the distance from the bottom of the pocket to the end of the stem cannot exceed 1.499 inch. [38.07mm], or you will be outside the shim range. I measure with a depth gauge. Second is...

Oversize pistons are stamped on the crown. ART pistons are stamped +.5mm or +.1mm. The barrel must be re-bored to the correct size. You cant just put an oversize piston in a worn bore, most bores wear oval and tapered.

LED Stop / Tail light

Has anyone fitted a LED stop tail light bulb to a bike with a brake light failure warning light in the clocks? Not sure if the LED bulb would fool the box into thinking the bulb has blown??

Na, don't put TT100's on a Zed, the profile can make them weavey at high speed. I always use those nice Contis they put on Beemers, good tread pattern too.

Im into British stuff as well as zeds so theres always plenty for me to see, from shiny stuff indoors to the rusty junk laying around in the grass.

I've always liked those GT500's, never owned one. Remember reading a test report back in the day where they tood one to death valley in 130 degree heat and thrashed it all day. Apparently, it never missed a beat.

I fitted a new rim to the rear wheel of my Bloody Sore Arse following a puncture. Take it nice and steady and think about what you're doing and its all ok. If you can't get it right, a wheel builder will true up a loose wheel for around £25.

Yes, some are a bit on the wide side but probably not enough to rattle too much, that is more likely to be caused by a loose cam chain. Is it a tic tic or a rattling noise? Have you checked the adjustment, have you got an auto tensioner or manual? Adjust according to the manual. If you are a member ...
