B2 Swingarm Complete

Hi All. I posted about needing one of these a while back then went and broke my hip falling over in an empty swimming pool (as you do). Finally got completely mobile and want to finish off the bike. It has a Metmachex swingarm on there at the moment but I want to re-register the bike in Spain and th...

GPz1100 B2 Swing Arm Wanted

My B2 has a Metmachex swing arm. I live in Spain and have to put the bike on Spanish plates and they (the Spanish authorities) really like to make things as difficult as possible. The bike has to be "original" and be seen to be original. Unfortunately, the Metmachex arm has a gurt brace un...

Now I'm completely flummoxed. Just noticed (doh!) a small switch on the lhs handlebar which says side stand. How could I miss it? Well, actually the white paint that said "side stand" disappeared long ago. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. Thought to myself, firstly, what a t**t t...

Thanks Adrian. I've downloaded that one but the wiring diagram comes out so hazy that it is difficult to follow things through. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work properly but just annoying when everything else about the bike is just great. I think the engine management unit is in ther...

OK. Now I know what I'm looking for I'll have another rummage in the headlight. Waiting for the return of the repaired Metmachex swingarm bosses from the repair shop as they seem to have hammered themselves to pieces cos the spindle had been butchered. The joys of owning (buying?) ageing classic bik...

Ha, I knew I was missing something!!!!! It's still not obvious, from the wiring diagram that I have, how that works and I can't find it anywhere else either. I guess that the clutch has to be pulled to get the starter to fire? Sorry to be a bit thick but I bought the bike as a non runner. How is it ...

Hi z1bman. With the spring connected and the stand down the warning lights flash and go off when the stand is put up. So that side of things is working fine. There are four wires at the switch. 2 coloured and 2 black. The 2 coloured ones are to do with the warning light I think. I can trace the blac...

GPz 1100 B2 wiring diagram anyone?

Evening all. Although I have a scanned copy of the workshop manual the wiring diagram is just not clear enough to follow. The problem I have is that if I connect the sidestand switch spring up so that the switch is operating correctly the bike won't start. No starter motor. Nothing. I know this is a...

GPz1100 B2 Chain Guard

Anyone have one of these kicking around? I have cobbled one together which doesn't look too bad but would prefer an original. Thanks. Steve

Thanks for the replies. That's pretty much what I'm seeing and you're right tlc, it feels a bit under geared. But with it rebored 2.5mm oversize the pull is massive with just a twitch of the wrist. What she'll be like when fully run in  Next time I come to replace the sprockets I'll look at...

B2 picture and question

Found a broken ring with damage to the bore and 2 exhaust valve guides loose in the head. So, rebore, new pistons and ri...

GPz 1100 B2 cylinder head needed

I'm looking for a replacement head for my 82 GPz1100 B2. I believe the ZX1100 A1/A2 is the same engine/head. I have spare guides and all cams/valves/spring/buckets are good on my existing head, just cracked. I'm in Spain but back in UK for a week soon so could possibly collect. Thanks
