I'm running 3 ohm Green Dynacoils with my standard Mark II ignition. You need to remove the Ballast Resistor used with the standard MKII coils. Been running like this for 3 years with no issues. +1 on the above . I was kindly educated on this point a short while ago on this Forum here (thanks again...

A little fortunate for now, did a bit of measuring and got a bolt some 5mm longer that I put in and managed to torque up to spec. Long enough to go into some old thread but not protrude out of the bottom so will suffice for now. This one is an allen head so will look for a similar hex head to repla...

Re: Misfire on 2 & 3
1980 Z1000 LTD B4 (Electronic Ignition) HELP! Well, I think it is a misfire.... Looking down the trusty color tune you can see it periodically and what can can only be described as "spits" or misfires(?) on idle and only on cyls 2 & 3. Not all the time but enough for a lumpy idle and ...

I found I wasn't happy about shimming on the bench as you bolt the cam down it will rotate ever so slightly as it rides the cam of the valve being depressed ( you area checking the others !) so you don't get optimum position and you cant turn the cam back to where it should be . The lift on the cam...
