thanks for the replies and thanks for the generous offer oldzed, i can call round to maplins on the way home from work, now i know what to get. It shouldn't hurt to cover it in heatshrink when i've soldered it in should it?

Diode or not?

Somebody who knows about electrics might be able to tell me, i'm Re-wiring a J and looking at the wiring diagram there is a diode in the tailight/igniton circuit, what does it do and can i do without it?

l/h switch z1000 a2

has anybody got a spare l/h switch for z1000 a2, dont need a complete one, can get away with just the bottom half or even just the hazard warning button bit

thought they should use one key martin, like you say might have had new lock fitted or its not the original bottom yolk :?? not that im worried, just curious

hi all, would i be right in thinking the lockset should all be the same key, bike is z1000 a2. ign/ tank/seat all use the same key (number is in the 700,s) but steering lock is totally different number(400,s). does,nt look like the lock has been changed/messed with, where would i get a key to suit i...

hi all, thought i would check valve clearance on my a2, ive set them to .05 to.1 as per manual, four of them had less than .05 clearance. Trouble is the cams are not standard, from what i can work out from other posts i have got some kenny harman cams with k/d spec grind on them, i can find a d spec...
