The battery on my Z1B appears to be dead so I need a new one . John if you look at the float bowl on all cylinders you will see the brass tube from the choke pathway projects onto the floatbowl in the corner this tube enters the bowl in the bottom corner through a very fine passageway if this has become blocked it will prevent the choke working on that cylinder...

Oil

I know there has been previous threads on this subject but here we go.
I normaly use Castrol GTX 10/40 mineral oil in my z1b however this is not so readily available but a part synthetic version is.
Is this not a good option and if not what would people recomend / where to get it from.

Starter clutch parts

So I have managed to strip my rotor off the bike to reveal the starter clutch rollers I have a number of questions so please go easy 1 I was able to remove the rollers etc without splitting the rotor and starter clutch is this normal. 2 There dose not seem to be any visable flats on the rollers only...

Starter clutch

I need to investigate my Z1B starter clutch and therefor require a bolt to remove the rotor. I am aware the steering stem and rear spindle bolts fit but these are both chromed and so I don't want to damage them. I believe the bolt is m16 but I dont know the pitch can anyone give me the correct pitch...

Remove Rotor

Would anybody be able to tell me the size (Diameter and Pitch) of the bolt I require to remove the rotor on my Z1B as I have to investigate a noisey starter clutch. :oops: Also has anybody heard of placing a ball bearing on to the end of the crank ahead of the bolt in order to ease breaking the tape...

Just repainted mine on my Z1B with satin black fron Halfords. KevF if you are looking for a bike they come up for sale within the club at regular intervals and most are well known within the club so you are more likley to get a good one.
