I don't think he offers a painting or powder coating service.
Might have a word with him regarding the cleaning, it's £280 for a ceramic clean which although would be top notch, it could be a bit OTT for something
that is going to get painted or powder coated.

Thanks for the replies guys....spoke to the plater again and they said if I get it cleaned and stripped they would chrome it.......gonna take it down next week and get a quote. He didn't want to re-plate the silencer because it would contaminate his bath.

He said if the silencer was steel (check with a magnet) then he could get it polished to a mirror finish.

To be honest, not something I would have thought.

I was talking to my local chrome platers ref getting a Harris re-chromed, down pipes aren't too bad but the silencer is a bit tatty.

Plater suggested getting the silencer polished !
Anyone ever done this and was the finish any good ?
