Forgot to mention - I also sprayed the head and barrels - and baked them
inside a barrel BBQ. Engine not rebuilt yet, but the paint being baked on
should be as effective a treatment as z1bman's I think?

z1bman recommended this to me, I sprayed my engine crank casings
with this stuff, looks the biz in satin and resistant up to 650 degrees C

Yes! most likely a condenser. Fit a Dyna 'S' and you'll never have to touch it again. Have heard that there are/can be problems with the Dyna's being a bit power hungry due to their long dwell angle and as a result can leave the battery not getting enough and being drained?
