Could the swing arm from the bike that the replacement wheel came from not be used? As in, if you sourced a wheel from a ZX, could the ZX swing arm not be modified and used? Yeah it could but then you're into changing the swing arm as well as the wheel and that can open another whole can of worms -...

Just be aware that Kawasaki rear wheels seem to be a lot wider across the hub than Suzuki wheels for the same rim width, or certainly the 4.5 ones which will take a 160 are, maybe as much as 50mm, which can cause problems getting them into any given swinging arm. I have a 4.5 Suzuki wheel which I wa...

Quote: from Rich on 6:25 pm on July 6, 2006 If you struggle for room that much why not put a 150 on? I'm not struggling for room. When I got the bike there was a 170 on it and it was rubbing the 530 chain that was already there.. I put a 160 on it and it clears happily. If had a 630 the chain would...

On one of my bikes with a twin shock set-up there's enough clearance to the tyre but the chain's a gnat's dick from the spring with a 530 - I'm sure that there isn't even 2mm to spare on that side. I suppose it depends on your swingarm and it obviously wouldn't be a problem on a monoshock. Machining...

It measures as 1.25 narrower and on a 160 that can make the difference between touching and not touching the tyre and gives the same extra clearance for the offset sprocket atthe top end. A modern 530 is more than capable of coping with the weedy power output of a Zed compared with a Hayabusa for ex...

Try Mark Hutchinson on z19hutchy@aol.com I'm sure he will be able to help you. Best e-mail him though rather than post here as he doesn't come on much because he thinks we're mostly childish. He's a good painter despite that and I suppose that's what you need more than a comedian who can't paint ....
