hi guys, do any of you have any idea where I should start for jet sizes for my z1000j3 ? . I have recently had the crank welded and balanced, had the cylinder head completely done, new guides , seats, valves and had 1m skimmed off the head. ive been advised to go to a 1075 kit as its still burning o...

thanks again guys for all the useful tips, I'm going to take it out for a hard blast when the weather is in my favour and see if it sorts itself out but if not ill whip the head and block off and check all those. cheers frizzy

ive just rebuilt my and restored my z1000j3, but on completion its smoking a lot on start up, enough to fill a double garage with thick smoke clouds which smell of oil. I had the head overhauled by an engineer who tunes old 70's and 80's superbikes, he put new valve guides in, new s/s valves and new...

great thanks, I had thought about aroldite, but at 120 for a repro I might push the boat out as ive just spent 2k on the cylinder head and had the crank welded and balanced . thanks for the reply so soon. frizzy
