Possibly a picture of the new hoses

Image

The photo is not great, but the replacement hoses are, they even flex without cracking. £67- happy with that. new rubber seals included.

Cheers

Thanks for replies.

I took it to my local pirtek and they will do it. He proposes to cut off the collars, (which can't be replaced) weld a collar on and connect the new hoses. He reckons it will be £35 per hose. I will let you know how it works out.

Oil cooler hose replacement 1984 Elr

Good morning. Got my engine out yesterday and one of the oil cooler hoses looks a bit cracked. It did not leak before the strip down so it is not too bad, but I thought that whilst tidying it up I would look into replacements. They are no longer available via Z power. I have the original standard oi...

Engine sprocket removal Z1000R2

I was keen today ( and well wrapped up ) and started to remove the bits and pieces from the bottom half of the engine to get it on the stand for a spruce up. All went well until it came to taking off the sprocket, the manual states to use a particular tool that fits into two holes in the sprocket. T...

It is a black one, powder coated or painted. Or at least that is how it looks in the photo.

Elr R2 engine stand?

Good morning. As the; head, barrels and lots more bits are off the bike and the sump has a slight oil leak I was contemplating removing the engine and giving it a good clean and spruce up. Has anyone purchased the engine stand from the bay, or is there any other cunning plan that people use? I don't...

ELR cam cover

I managed to pick up a replacement head for my Elr a while back, it was complete apart for there being no cam cover.

Whilst Buzzard is sorting the head out I thought I would see if anyone has one that they don't want.

Cheers

Cylinder Head repair

I have sourced a replacement cylinder head for my Elr and need to get the sparkplug threads Helicoiled ( or equivalent ) as three of the four threads are poor.

Has anyone used an engineering firm, or similar in Herts? that they can recommend.

Cheers

Stu
