I went to the Excel Show today (Sunday). Very disappointing. No manufacture attendance from H****, Suzuki, Kawasaki or Yamaha. I think the ?16.00 entrance was pretty steep considering. The only makers officially there were Ducati and KTM...... There was more food than bikes! The only highlights were...

Rear Reflector
I'm sure someone out there can tell me if the rear reflector was fitted to all UK model A4s, or just some of them?
Mine has rubber grommets in the holes.
Has anybody got an A4 reflector that they are willing to sell, or does Z Power do them?

Some advise required please. My Z900 emits a couple of puffs of blue smoke on start up from cold..... It does not smoke at all after about 20 seconds and as far as I can tell is not smoking while riding. I had a look at the plugs. The two outer ones were quite sooty and the two inner ones were a lit...

Good news guys..... I have finally moved the offending bracket! I had a think about it and decided to loosen both top and bottom fork clamps on the affected side and leave the other fork as it was, so as to support the front and stop the loosened fork tube from moving up in the clamps. I thought tha...

Does anyone agree with me that the standard Z chainguard is a very ugly piece of plastic? My Z900 is totally standard and I will keep it that way...except.....maybe a chrome chainguard would look very nice..... I was looking at some pictures of the USA spec LTD Z900 and that had a chrome guard - I a...

Well, it didn't work! One of the brackets could be moved, but the other one was jammed solid....even after a few whacks with a hammer ! I decided that too many whacks was not a good idea. The bracket is possibly corroded onto the fork tube. The free one had been re-chromed about a year ago, so had o...

Can anyone advise on how to move the headlamp bracket sleeves at the top of the fork legs? The reason I need to know is that the headlamp is off centre and I can see that the brackets are at different angles on the forks - (the left one is turned in and the right one is turned out), so I need to twi...

Paul, I have the same thing on my Z900. The outside line is a bit of a stretch to the union joint on the carbs, so it has quite a bend at the top where it connects to the fuel tap. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems with fuel starvation and the bend is not bad enough to totally close the tube.

Thanks guys. I think a new flasher relay is called for. Actually my bike was sold about a year ago through RWHS and the job sheet with it says they replaced the flasher unit - maybe it was a used or faulty one. I assume that a lot of you would have read "Dave's guide to the Z1/Z900" from Z Power. I ...
