Cure with the zzr, took carbs off, stripped down, put componants into my ultrasonic cleaner, reset all carbs to standard set, made sure air box was leak proof, if you know what i mean, fired up, ballanced carbs, runs fine. In other words carbs were blocked, kick me in the head and tell me to do what...

Got my zzr1100 sorted and now runs fine, so the Z1000 j1 can now come onto the lift. I bought this with a few problems, the main problem is it wont come up the gear box, 1st but not up to 2nd etc. Now if my memory serves me correct, is there not a safety device to stop you going through the gears wh...

Ok, well it still wont run right, have now got a new battery on it, new spark plugs and fresh fuel, it is on an auxillary tank at moment, just so i can see what im doing. I have also changed the igniter for another i have, no differance and also swapped ht leads and coils for some others i have, als...

Thanks all, ill change fuel as it is a few months old, ive just got a new battery so shall fit that.
The spark plugs were not wet nor sooty and seem to be fine, i may change them just to be on the safe side.

Ok, i need my ZZR1100 out the shed so i can get the Z1000 J on the lift, problem i have now is she started up fine about 6 weeks ago, come to start it up ready to take it for mot and it will run and rev up on choke but as soon as you start taking choke off she cuts out, just like you have a main jet...

The bike is all standard, other than the usual exhaust and the clocks. Not sure what the clocks are off but its a bodged up affair and looks awful, cable driven from usual drive from wheel, so this is not standard either. ok here we go, i have a z1000j with incorrect clocks, im going to restore the bike this winter as has a gearbox problem. I would like to know what the menbers have for solutions to my clock problem, do you have standards clocks i can fit including speed sensor, Mph. Or can you suggests other set ups...
