Ok thanks guys, i'll give it another look, cause im waiting on the speedo drive to come from the states i got my mate to beep his horn at 60 to give me a guage while riding, i thought surely the rest of the speed cant fit in them last 4k revs? :lol:

Clutch issues

Bikes not been right since i had it on the road, i think the clutch is slipping, at 60mph shes at 4-4 1/2 in top gear and seems overly revvy so dont think clutch is engaging fully? Is there a sensible way to approach it? is it a pretty straight forward job? how do i tell if its the plates or down to...

If youve got the round black thingy on the left hand side front wheel spindle with a long black rubber grommett and three wires in it then that setup is standard J1. There is an American version which has different tell tales in it as well. I think J2 went over to a cable driven arrangement but not...

You could pm RobW as i believe his is the electronic speedo with an alternative drive mechanism (wheel mounted magnets). The speedo head itself as yet defies rebuild due to the complexity or availability of the chip but it may still reveal itself in due course. The odometer similarly is sealed shut...

speedo help

Just ran the bike to the mot, the speedo isnt working, i think its a fault in the wires going from the 3 way down, are these avaliable? or can i rewire? not sure? it looks like they are abit mashed where they enter the housing

Brake shims? where from?

I think they are shims :lol: that clip onto the calipers, trying to rebuild brakes and realised that they got swept up in the crap on the floor, any idea where to get them? i need 4

its strange with bikes that you change your tastes sometimes when youve had them a while, i was 100% going to put more modern wheels/forks etc on, now its growing on me with the skinny wheels and its turned to just a maybe for the future :lol:
