I run a tap down the hole and a die down the stud, two nut trick works well, seat the stud short thread in - until no thread is showing.

I use alumslip and no loctite, stainless stud kit.

Try going up one heat grade on the plugs, it sounds like the plugs are overheating as you get up to temperature.

Osram 'Night breaker unlimited' are standard fit H4 bulbs - extra output without using more amps. Halfrauds etc...
