Z1000ST Seat

This belongs to a friend, he had it made for his Mk2 project and is shown resting in place in the first pic. It was made using an ST seat pan and modded and recovered by Steve Adams. It is mint and has never been sat on. Unfortunately the ST pan does not line up with the Mk2 mountings. Not sure how ...

Drew - I'm not really sure what it is, I think its a z1100a1 shaft, it's a us import so might be different to what we have here. The seat may have been altered a bit and Im tempted to loose the rear mudguard and fit some drop bars:D It's certainly not short of go but its in bits in the garden at the...

These are the same wheels fitted to my B2, I bought them new in 1989 I think, took ages to arrive and although the finish quality isnt the best I've never heard of them cracking, I had them powder coated last year so they were blasted and inspected for cracks at the same time, still good though. The...

Thanks for more input. I'm going to check a few things including the notch thing in the morning but I think I am going to have to learn to do this properly using the degree disc etc.
Martin thanks for the offer I will be in touch.
Cheers

Hi Julian Thanks for the input. To clarify a few things, the cams are fitted correctly and the exhaust cam arrow lines up with the head, as you say the inlet arrow is slightly lower due to the cam cover being off. There is a new cam chain fitted. I think due to the skimmed head and barrel faces decr...

gpz1100 unitrac cam timing

I've bolted my unitrac motor back together and cant get the cam timing marks to line up properly. The crankshaft T mark is a couple of degrees forward of where it should be when the cam marks line up properly with the head. Its much less than 1 tooth out. The head and barrels have been machined flat...

gpz1100 A1/2/3 unitrac clutch push rod

As title does anyone have a useable one of these available? Looking for one without bad ridges at both ends or are there any alternatives? NLA from Kawasaki it seems.
Many Thanks

Bought this recently for the winter. Its apparently got a new wiseco 1170 kit in it. If this turns out to be true it will find its way in to my Gpz11. Sounds really good, no smoke or rattles, in for MOT on Friday. http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii548/pluto12341/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3293_zpsvxxk...

Kojaycat do laminated A3 colour wiring diagrams that are excellent, they can even be read without glasses on. They list a 1000j but their website is being updated so you may need to ring to order.

I had to undo the rear engine mount adjuster bolt on my Zxr750 recently, it is a large hollow steel bolt and was firmly stuck in the alloy frame. I heated (with a map gas blow torch) and cooled the area a few times then heated again and melted a candle on to the threads, the idea is the wax is sucke...
