:?? Vacuum Balancing didn't go too well :( Air & pilot screws were set, and as far as I could see the " mechanical " Synchronization gap was ok.....but I've got a BIG gap ? at the throttle stopper and cable bracket ..therefore eff all/minimal adj at idle adj screw...when adjusting the ...

Hi folks. I have scanned previous posts trying to get info on this. I have just fitted newly refurbed standard 1000A1 engine in my 1000A2 :-) She's running ok apart from a bit lumpy low down..... so ive static- set the dyna s ignition and was planning on having a go at balancing the carbs tom. night...

Yeh TLC, Slept on it and more importantly "thought on it "...as the cylinder/piston seemed so good once cleaned up. Its a big volume to bleed through in a oner if the whole system has been emptied... was actually a ZXR forum link where I found the tip on bleeding the M.cylinder itself firs...

Thanks for reply tlc. Yep , contacted Z power and priced piston. Thought I'd have one last go at bleeding. Read up on bleafing a completely emptied system. ....and bled the cylinder first by blocking b/bolt hole with thumb and pumping fluid through/ out of there first....tighten banjo bolt, then do ...

Hi there :D Has anybody got one of the above in working order that they may want to sell ? Failing that , where is the best place to get a repair/refurb kit ? Z-Power ? What do the kits include ? Had it in bits, bit dirty but piston etc cleaned up well, blew it all through and all looked a-ok....but...

Could it not be a re-stamped eng # from a stolen / recovered engine ??? As long as it corresponds with the V5 it should be ok..? Blind hole threads must be clear of dirt, old silicon, grease/oil, etc... before whacking a blot into it as you can get "hydraulic lock" and the casing can split or (as is your case) the end pop's off Cheers, will bear that in mind. Hole had quite a bit of silicone and gunk..glue?...so wil...

Ouch ! Best get it looked at then :shock: Cheers for the Devcon suggestion, will have a look. Been recommended the JB weld which can also be drilled/tapped etc..Its a tny bit of alloy but obviously will need to be tapped to accept the bolt when repair complete ...tightened VERY carefully :)

Yeh, cheers Pigford. Iam gonna have a look when I borrow a puller ..may well need a new starter clutch assembly(repair kit), and hopefully that'll cure it. Ordered some JB weld to hopefully (using that word a lot) ..repair the crankcase. Is there a reccommended S/clutch repair kit and supplier anyon...
