I have wondered the same but I don't know.
I used four nos pistons one=1B, one=2B, two= no marks, all the same size, I checked two times.
I think I have also seen 1A.

I want to see the Knucklehead...

Your original photos, make it look a lot better than my A4, before i started work on it. Your A4 must have been in sad shape. Looks a lot better. Much nicer finish than powder coat.
