The fork might fit but the GT has a leading axle and the R1 axle under. Check some part numbers you maybe able to use the tubes in the R1 bottoms

Exhaust or inlet? possible valve is just being held opon a bit causing burning of seat?more likely on exhaust valve.Sound like you may need new seats or even have the valves "tipped" if you are on smallest shims! An inlet Paul compresion is good i guess i will find out once im inside. Im ...

hmmm repeated Valve reshimming

I have one valve which regularily needs reshimming twice last year, all the others were fine. This one is tight again today after 900km`s. The head will have to come off as thats the smallest shim fitted now. Gaskets and bits in the post. But what do we think is going on a receeding valve seat would...

That is a shame Redbeard the paint was looking real good :|

It maybe a degreasing issue for the paint to come off like that or perhaps the paint had not cured properly :?: anychance you just redo the affected areas
