Carburetor cleaning

Can any one point me in the right direction and save me hours trolling through the posts. (Not that I don't like it, just a bit busy) I didn't want to completly strip them ...

Vacuum Gauges
Hi Guys.
Any one recommend a good set of gauges?
Are the Mercury ones better?
What kind of prices should I expect to pay, and where to buy?
Thanks Lads

Remove Spring on Rear Shock
Any one know how to disassemble the rear shocks on a 1977 Z1000? Do I need to hammer out the pin in the picture? I have compressed the spring and found a 24mm narrow nut, which will only turn two thirds of a revolution. Please and Thanks http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af53/Jim_Goose/My%20Z/DSCF2...

Do I need to remove the header pipes? Will I need a new sump gasket? Drained the oil...
