Carburetor cleaning

Hi Lads. I have a KZ1000 77 A1. I have definitely come across projects where lads cleaned the inside of their Carbs (Jets etc). Can any one point me in the right direction and save me hours trolling through the posts. (Not that I don't like it, just a bit busy) I didn't want to completly strip them ...

Vacuum Gauges

Hi Guys.
Any one recommend a good set of gauges?
Are the Mercury ones better?
What kind of prices should I expect to pay, and where to buy?
Thanks Lads

Remove Spring on Rear Shock

Any one know how to disassemble the rear shocks on a 1977 Z1000? Do I need to hammer out the pin in the picture? I have compressed the spring and found a 24mm narrow nut, which will only turn two thirds of a revolution. Please and Thanks http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af53/Jim_Goose/My%20Z/DSCF2...

Also worth taking the sump off and remove the oil pump and give it a clean its a easy job and well worth doing you will be surprised how much crap is stuck to the oil pump Might do that if it,s not too much hassle. Do I need to remove the header pipes? Will I need a new sump gasket? Drained the oil...

Thanks for the tips lads.
Defo something a drift.
I'll drain the oil again tonight, use a few methods and see what happens.
