Me on a green z650f4 its a veteran of many a dragon but it has got to redeem itself after breaking down on the way home last year with a duff coil and suffering the embaresment of being towed home by the AA :(

Z900/Z1000 Clutch basket repair kit

Hi, does anybody know where i could source a repair kit (springs, rivets) for a z900, z1000 clutch basket or a spring manufacturer which could manufacture springs to suit.

Z900a4, clutch basket

Well, just started on renovation of my old a4, took sump off and some big pieces of spring there so looks like full engine strip :( .
So has anybody got a clutch basket they can sell me to fit an A4, its the springs in the back that have shattered.

What mike p says 750 turbo site is brilliant what them guys don't know about turbos isn't worth knowing. Yes sounds like bent valve, gaps don't useally get bigger with shims they get tighter. Could the tip of slide needle broke off? Or choke butterfly screw come adrift.

Back in the day I used to use the push cable as a spare if the pull one snapped.
I never noticed any adverse effects, but then again im not fussy. :wink:

Don't know if this works but a guy on the KH forum reckons if you soak the rubbers in a mixture of winter green oil and xylene , ratio 30% & 70% for 24-36 hrs this softens them up a treat.
