I've got a MKII crank but I think the teeth for the cam chain are different.

As some of you may know, this was from my attempt to build a Spondon. But I now have a std frame and recon this would be a bit too much for it...so looking to sell my engine and pick up a std motor. Here's the spec. Approx 130 bhp on PDQ Dyno. Z900 bottom end with machined cases to take Unitrac top ...

Don't restore it....it'll be just another restored bike. keep it as it is..just fix the bit's that need it and have an true 'original' But that would mean leaving 'that' seat on whilst actually riding the bike on actual roads..... a new Lid might be in order then.... http://i46.photobucket.com/albu...

Braze...as you said, less liable to crack.

Oh...and if the weld isn't done well...could make the joint weaker.
At least with Brazing, the point won't be any less strong if it's badly done.
