Cheers Pluto. Understand how the fast idle works but it just doesn't increase the revs when first started - only increases revs when its warmed up. The bike starts first time every time - it just flutters about at 1500rpm and takes an eternity to warm up. I've set up and balanced the throttle bodies...

GPZ1100 Unitrak - cold start issues
Its winter so I am back to the GPZ1100 and really feel as though progress is being made. This is a great looking bike but is a real pig to run from cold. Once up to temperature she ticks over lovely at 1100-1200rpm and revs freely - its actually really nice to ride. But from cold - what a bastard!! ...

No light flashing on the ECU so that would indicate to me that it can't be all bad. Its really flat up to about 3000 rpm then it takes off. Plugs are showing to be quite sooty which would indicate that its running rich. How do you lean it up on a fuel injected model? No wonder they changed these to ...

GPZ1100 Unitrak
At long last I have fully completed my GPZ and got it running - well sort of. The bike ticks over nicely, revs freely and the revs drop back down nicely. Clearly it has a very strong engine with no noises to worrry about. It pulls really well on the road but it really is pretty dire below 3000 rpm -...

Z1000H fuel injection
I'm in the process or restoring a Z1000H and although she is in reasonable shape, the wiring is a complete mess. All the main wiring front area block connectors have been trashed and replaced with a load of bullet connectors. My question is: Do all the "front main loom" block connectors si...
