Float level Z1000

Lend my service manual and now I’m working on 26.mm Z1000A carbs.

Don’t remember the float level from gasket to the top of the
float? I if remember last time then I think it was near 28mm, but not sure
or 4.mm from the surface?

Thanks :D

RESISTOR

One Question please. Do have Boyer + Accel 140403 coils witch needs resistors. Bike is KZ1000 ´78. Going to put 1.ohm, 25watt on each coil. Have one RED/Yellow from ignition switch (power) to the coils witch spits into "Y" to both coils. One Green connects to RH coil and Black to LH coil....

if the bike has been standing for a long time replacing the jets + cleaning the carbs with carb cleaner is not good enough. there are air + fuel passageways which are impossible to clean with solvents. you will need to have them ultrasonically cleaned . as for the spark from the ht lead with a good...

I would be looking at the choke system... Yes I have been doing that. Choke Seems to be ok, but there is always this But? One question. I have forgot how to test Spark under compression. Plugs in? Seem to be good spark looking at it, but I remember in the old days working on the Classics British bi...

Compression is good. 12 volts at the coils checked, Dyna S should solve the problem with the Accel coils..., I think. I’m sure the bike will be running fine as soon as the ignition is in order. Have been out in the garage most of the day. Took her again for some Test ride. Same, hard starting on t...

When my friend got the bike she was running poorly. That was just because there where so many points at the bike at that time. It has been sitting for long time. The carbs where full of crap and also with bad points and spark plugs. Now everything witch I can think of is clean and charging Is just f...

Ignition problem?

Working on Z1000A2. Boyer Ignition and Accel coils 3.ohm. 1. Hard to start on the push button when cold. 2. Running ruff when cold. 3. Won’t start using kick start. 4. Ignition is on the timing mark and all installation is right. When hot the bike is running great with no hesitation, but hesitatio...
