Right, some progress. Again, thanks to Paul Scanlon for his efforts. We really are getting down to the finer details of the bike now. The bike now had the correct forks, and the clocks have been refurbished thank to Al Marshall. Its time for an MOT and road test before it comes home and I can finall...

Up to engine number Z1E-01000, vacuum take offs were a press fit into the head held in with a chemical bond product (which were all replaced with screw thread fittings by dealers). I don't normally pick holes in peoples hard graft, but since you say you want perfection.......your ignition switch is wrong (shouldn't have the cover over where the key enters). I see the ports in the intake rubbers ...

The bikes a keeper so I'm in no rush and I may have found a set but the search for 72 parts will continue I think

From what Ive been told its to do with the shape of the castings etc.
