Those round sender units also were used for the 1981 GPZ1100B1 and the Z1000J of 1981 (= J1)

Hi there, you have to look for the KZ1000J manuals. The third edition of that has only also a small supplement for the ELR. All other topics can used of the J-model. please note: this one for Z1000J/R-GPZ1100B1/B2 is another one as the Z1100R!!!

As well the housing as the pick ups are different. For your Z1100R you will need this one of a GPZ1100UT!

just have one, which is genuine - also paintwork, but was cuttedt right and left to use another handlebar.
Later this was tried to repair by tinplates stripes (!) - looks a bit strange like a knight.
