Hi Rob, This is probably not the same problem but you never know. When I first purchased my Zed it had a “Knocky Camâ€￾, on startup it would knock with a sort of steady clang, obvious metallic knocking noise but would slowly quiet down and after a minute or so it would completely disappear. I was ...

How to fit 80 horse's into 1 horse box.

Well as it is p*****g down with rain I am glad I changed my mind about riding the bike to the show and opting for horse box instead. I am really looking forward to it and meeting some likewise minded Zed nuts so see you all there. http://i847.photobucket.com/albums/ab33/Biggfoot/Z1SHOW001.jpg

Could consider TSUBAKI good quality chain, available O ring X ring or HQR, comes with spare link-not soft rivet link or spring link but you may want to borrow heavy duty rivet tool otherwise difficult to rivet. Available from Debben Performance who can also supply conversion kit to 530. I notice the...

If you do have to increase pilot jet you have to down size main jet but would leave as to see if cold start is sorted, would confirm step in the right direction. Opening throtle on weak fuel start up would not help starting as others have said so try and avoid this. Good luck, Alex. Don't want to p...

Main thing when tuning the carbs is to get the main jet right - as this has the most effect on the mixture & is where any weakness will cause most damage. Once thats sorted its then working back to the needle position for mid range trimming and finally the pilot system. Yes, all parts of the sy...

Agree Alexander, the pilot circuit provides trim for the entire range but he wont have it. That diagram is slightly mis-leading when you're talking about CV's because the rest position for the throttle ''''slide'''' is approx 25% open. AL[/quote] Yes Al, I was of course referring to slide carbs and ...

Beautifull job Paul.
This is just a hic-up you are having, many of us have been there and share your pain. It will all be forgotten when MOT'D and you are enjoying summer runs. Alex.

gazza what have you tried so far? New plugs and fuel is a given but what about balance and mixture settings? How many turns out are the pilot screws and what happens when youre winding it over? Does it spin fast and try to fire or is it laboured and stuttering occasionally. ie. respectively weak or...

And even if they had additional take ...
