How to refurbish clocks on A4

Hi everyone. I want to refurbish my clocks on my A4. The rev counter is faded. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this. I notice on ebay you can buy stick on replacement covers for the clocks. Has anyone used these, do they look original when fitted. Thanks for your help. Tony
